A new body at St. Maria Goretti, it was formed during the 2024-2025 fiscal year to serve as one of three primary consultative bodies assisting the pastor in his duty to teach, sanctify, and govern the parish. Particular law in the Archdiocese of New Orleans requires that the pastor have a Pastoral Council. While named differently, this body fulfills that requirement by helping the pastor to discern the needs of the parish family and plan for our future. Members of the body represent diverse perspectives of the community. While membership is through discernment,  parishioners who would like to be considered can email Fr. Daniel ([email protected]) and notify him of their interests.
