"Baptism incorporates us into Christ and forms us into God’s people. This first sacrament pardons all our sins, rescues us from the power of darkness, and brings us to the dignity of adopted children, a new creation through water and the Holy Spirit. Hence we are indeed called children of God." (General Introduction, 2)
Baptism is open to all those, not having been previously baptized, desire to come into the Church and live in relationship with Christ. St. Maria Goretti welcomes families with infants, newly adopted children, or adults who are interested to contact us for more information about baptism. You can also access the baptism packet here.
If you have any questions about baptism, contact Mrs. Lettie Bougere in the office at 504-242-7554.
